The present situation of food waste in the country is increasing from time to time which is from restaurants, households, and related industries. On the other side, to control food waste many techniques have been used from different perspectives.
Our perspective is to use web application to make food waste management easier for households and restaurants. This project is made in hope to see a change in the community.
This projects aim on making helping those in need as easy, swift and stress-free as possible. The vision of this project is to bring about a change by giving life to efficient ideas about food waste management .
Introduction
I. INTRODUCTION
Every night, approximately 14.28% of the total world population goes to bed hungry. The Covid-19 pandemic has elevated the poverty and hunger crisis, the situation in India looks particularly grim. According to the Global Hunger Index released recently, India slipped seven places to a rank of 101 from 94 in just year.
The index gives a score on a 100 point scale, where 0 indicates no hunger and 100 shows an “extremely alarming” situation. With a score of 27.5, the level of hunger in India is supposed to be “serious”. Growing levels of food unavailability have serious long-term effects on health outcomes of growing children in India. Over the last 2 decades, grain production in India has risen from 198 million tonnes to 269 million tonnes. Ideally, this should have ensured that nobody had to struggle to have access to food. Furthermore, the objective of the National Food Security Act of 2013 has been to provide food and nutrition security to two-third of the country at subsidized rates.[1]
This project consists of a web based application which is in hope of the idea that it will help donor and NGOs to distribute leftover food to needy people.
Donors can also donate other basic needs to the poor people with the help of this application.
II. LITERATURE REVIEW
Chalo khushiyan batein, jaripatka, nagpur It is a Mission under NGO Five Fold Maitri Society (Regd.) for underprivileged, destitute and needy people. CKB providing Healthy Food, Clothes, Study Materials, Ration and Awareness to them. It is headed by the director Disha. It was established in 2017. The mission of the society is to fulfill the utmost basic necessity of the person i.e good food. Their aim is that not a single person in the city should sleep empty stomach. In the coming future, they are planning to help the widows by providing them with monthly rations, basic necessities etc. We are also planning of openingschools, DayCare Centers, Old Age Homes and Community Kitchen for needy people for the betterment of the people of the community[2-].
Garaj Foundation, Bahuuddeshiya Kalyankari Sanstha, Nagpur Jithe Garaj Tithe Garaj It was established in. Its headed by director Minushree Rawat. With vision that living with liveliness for the needy people in society, this institution has been working from last two years its Registration Number as per society act 1860: Nagpur/0000185/2018 as well as Mumbai public trust act 1950 Number in the Register of Public Trust F-0035893(NGP). Working As per the Tagline “JITHE GARAJ TITHE GARAJ” the Institution is not leading to work for the specific community, This institution provide all possible services for the Women’s and The child Development, Health and Education as well as Social Awarness Programme. The Institution also have counseling center, By which each and every cases handle with carefully to solve all problems related to his life[3].
Annamrita Foundation , Ramanuj Nagar, Bharatwada Rd, Kalmana, Nagpur Founded in 2004, Radha Krishna Prabhu, founder of Annamrita Foundation, is on a mission to eradicate hunger and child malnutrition. Annamrita Foundation is an NGO workingwith an aimto provide food-relief and nourishment to the underprivileged communities of India. At Annamrita, exchange ‘Hunger for Hope’. As NGO, our values are deeply rooted into Indian traditions. Annamrita is a Sanskrit word that an translates to Anna, “Food” and Amrita, “Nectar”; Food as pure as nectar. Annamrita Foundation has always believed that the intake of food not only sustains a person, it also paves a way for a healthy future. We strive to deliver nutritious meals to people who need it the most. They work directly with central and state Govt. entities to blend excellence into our food donation program. From serving mid-day meals as lunch to school going children, and serving meals to the frontline workers and the underprivileged, there food relief programs have a far reaching impact on the society at large. They targeted food relief programs ensure nutrition can help children concentrate better in school and help adults take a step towards an equal society. With the promise of good food, attendance in schools grows multi fold and communities can break free from the shackles of poverty. Right from serving mid-day meals in government aided and nonaided schools to COVID-19 food relief, They NGO is helping India stay strong and nourished. Annamrita Foundation aims to serve food to mankind, with the same love and devotion that a mother provides for her own[4].
Mother Teresa's Missionaries Of Charity, Mohan Nagar, Nagpur The Mother Teresa Foundation provides free meals through our ongoing program, everyday, to the needy .Currently providing 500 meals per day. The Mother Teresa Foundation aims to provide access to equality in education by providing scholarships to the underprivileged; especially to Girl students and first Graduates, through The Mother Teresa Scholarship Program. The scholarship covers School fees, School supplies, College, Hostel, Transport and Incidental fees and expenses is a non-governmental charitable organisation working since 2002 for the unwanted, uncared and unloved in the society followingthe footsteps of St. Mother Teresa. It intensivelystrives to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and improve upon the health among the underserved. To achieve this goal it works in the fields of education, health, elderly care and upliftment of the disabled and the transgender community. It also addresses starvation by providing free food everyday to the hungry. We collaborate with like-minded service organisations and government agencies in implementing our projects[5].
In conclusion, all of the above mentioned NGOs either have their own websites or they don’t have their own platforms. Thi s project hops to give a platform which would have all the NGOs and users in one place.
III. PROPOSED SYSTEM

A. Module 1 (Donor)
Donor will register and login into their profile and will choose the type of donation they wants to make.
Then they will provide the detail of item. After filling all the details they will post a request and whichever NGO is interested, will accept the request and then collect item from donor.
The donors can view their donation history on their dashboard.
B. Module 2 (NGOS)
NGOs will register and have their profile.
They will be notified whenever there is a donation request.
The NGOs can view their monthly donation report on their dashboards.
Conclusion
82% of hungry people live in countries with food surpluses, not food shortages One-third of the food produced around the world is never consumed. With the help of this project the surplus food from the functions and individuals will reach to the one in need easily. The visualization impact of the donation can create a positive impact on the users. The main goal of this project is to minimize the food wastage and help people who are ready to donate and people who are need of basic necessities. The application is targeted in two ways through which this whole process of donation and collection will be done efficiently.
1) The user who is donating food.
2) The organization that is claiming the food.
As the food go in waste because of lack of awareness among Donors.This application shall aim to mitigate issues like lack of awareness among donors, lack of transparency in the donation process and thus act as a bridge between the people in need.
